3D Converting & Exporting

STEP 1 : Converting to Unity

Run Unity. Select and open the Unity Project File folder downloaded earlier.

Add the finished .FBX file and .PNG texture file to the Assets > Contents folder of the ZEPETO Studio project.

626

In the Scene window, select the .FBX file. In the Inspector window, select the Materials tab and make sure that the value of the assigned materials is None.

498

In the resource folder, select Create > Material and change the name of the generated material to be the same as the .FBX file name.

Select the renamed material file and open the Shader dropdown menu in the inspector window. Click Wit > Standard.

663

Select the material file again and drag-and-drop the .PNG format texture file to the Inspector window > Albedo (RGB) item > None (Texture).

❗️

caution

Using .PSD files increases the file size, so make sure to connect a .PNG file.

566

After the texture is assigned to the material file, select the .FBX file and drag-and-drop the material files for each name in Material > None (Material) cell in the Inspector window.

516

You have now completed the preparation for the converting process. Select the .FBX file. Right-click it and select ZEPETO Studio > Convert to ZEPETO style to extract the prefab file.

In the Hierarchy window, select Playground > LOADER to view the ZEPETO Character Custom Loader tab in the Inspector window.

A list of categories is shown at the bottom of the tab. Select the category that best fits your item. On the Object field on the right (with its status as None), connect the prefab file by drag-and-drop.

When the connection is successful, you can view the ZEPETO character wearing the template clothing in the center Game window.

STEP 2 : Exporting as a file with a ZEPETO file extension

After completing the character preview, right-click the prefab file and click ZEPETO Studio > Export as .ZEPETO. The file with ZEPETO extension will be created, which would be the final step before it is uploaded to ZEPETO Studio.
